迪拜：为期三天或四天的宰牲节，广大阿联酋居民尽情享受他们的假期。但提供必需服务的人们却没有这样的假期，他们大多还是面带微笑去完成工作，并找到很好的理由去这样做。
每当假期将要来临，那些服务在必需服务部门的人们，例如警察和民防、机场工作人员、医务人员和医生、售货员、酒店经营者、在服务行业工作的人们，如服务员和厨师，甚至清洁工，他们都不能够享受到和其他人一样奢华而漫长的假期。
gulfnews采访的人们，为能够回答责任所在的问题而感到骄傲。
巴拉，34岁，是一位来自印度的清洁工，他来到迪拜只有13天。他告诉gulfnews：“迪拜是非常好的。这给了我比在之前国家工作更好的待遇。我公司已承诺支付我三天假期的工资。”

Dubai: The three-day or four-day holiday for Eid Al Adha enjoyed by the majority of UAE residents wasn’t to be for many of those who provide essential services, but most of them still went about their tasks with a smile and found good reasons to do so.
Whenever official holidays are around the corner, those serving in the essential services sector like police and Civil Defence, airport officials, paramedics and doctors, salespersons, hoteliers, besides people in the service sector such as waiters and cooks, even cleaners, often don’t enjoy the luxury of a lengthy holiday like everyone else.
The people providing essential services whom Gulf News spoke to expressed pride about being able to answer the call of duty.
Bala, 34, a cleaner from India has been in Dubai for only 13 days. “Dubai is very nice. It’s given me better pay than my previous job in my home country. I’m OK to work these three days as my company has promised to pay me for the holidays,” he told Gulf News.
