一男子电话被骗27,000迪拉姆用于“运回母亲的尸体”
骗子声称他需要钱把他母亲的尸体从欧洲运回阿联酋。

迪拜：一名阿联酋人的善良使他损失了27,400迪拉姆。让他受骗的是一个声称需要钱把他母亲的尸体从欧洲运回阿联酋的骗子。
Al Ain警方接到一名从事蜂蜜业务的受害人M.A.电话，他称自己寄钱给一个冒充阿联酋政府雇员的男子，该名男子声称他的母亲在法国死于癌症，他需要钱把她的尸体运回家。
这位M.A.说，骗子伪装成认识他，和他做生意,并声称之前通过M.A.社交媒体账户得到他的电话号码。
在他的证词中M.A.说，骗子让他往在阿布扎比的银行账户里汇钱，他才可以支付船舶公司运费把该男子母亲的尸体运回国。
之后这个骗子打电话告诉M.A.将钱汇给了错误的银行，并对带来的不便表示道歉，说解决问题需要几天时间，并且尸体将延期运回。他唤起M.A.的怜悯并说他会还M.A.的钱。
M.A.给这个骗子6,100欧元（24,954迪拉姆）。
受害者告诉警方，他是在接到另一个骗子的电话后才感觉自己受骗了，这个骗子冒充是法国船舶公司的会计，要求他支付20,000迪拉姆作为棺材保险。
阿布扎比警方呼吁民众提防陌生人，不要被这样的电话和网络骗子上当。特别是如果接受到可疑的请求，人们应该小心，以防骗子利用他们的善心和慷慨行骗。

Con man claimed he needed money to repatriate the body of his dead mother from Europe to the UAE.

Dubai: An Emirati man’s kindness cost him Dh27,400 as he fell victim to a con man claiming he needed money to repatriate the body of his dead mother from Europe to the UAE.
Al Ain Police received a call from the victim, M.A., who works in the honey business, saying that he was tricked into sending money to a man posing as an Emirati government employee who claimed his mother had died of cancer in France and he needed money to bring her body home.
M.A. said the con man pretended to know him and claimed that he had done business with him before through M.A.’s social media account, which also had his phone number.
In his testimony, M.A. said the con man told him that he would send money to his bank account in Abu Dhabi, so he could pay the shipping company that would repatriate the body of the man’s mother.
The con man then called M.A. and told him that he had wired the money to the wrong bank, and apologised for the inconvenience, saying that it would take a few days for the matter to be resolved and would delay the body’s repatriation. He appealed to M.A.’s humanity and convinced him to wire him money which he would repay.
M.A. wired the con man 6,100 euros (Dh24,954).
The victim told the police he felt that he was being conned after receiving a phone call from another con artist, who posed as an accountant at a shipping company in France and asked him to pay Dh20,000 as insurance for the coffin.
Abu Dhabi Police urged the public to be wary of strangers and not to fall victim to such phone and online cons, especially if people make suspicious requests, adding that people should be careful as con artists exploit the kindness and generosity of their potential victims.
