Ajman: Police have arrested three Asian men who entered a money exchange house by digging a hole from an adjoining shop in the Industrial Area in Ajman.
The gang managed to steal Dh800,000, a police officer said on Sunday.
Colonel Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department at Ajman Police, said the suspects were arrested within a few minutes of the crime. An early warning system in the operations room alerted the police and showed visuals of the suspects while they were committing the theft.
The incident took place last week when the gang entered a shop next to the exchange house. The shop was undergoing maintenance work, which helped the suspects to break the door. They dug a hole in the shop’s wall and entered the money exchange. The suspects managed to open a safe containing Dh800,000.
