Requesting rates, comparing purchase rates, and preparing sales rates;

Preparing import orders and handling their processing;

Advising customers on booking details and rates;

Commercially handling assignments within the applicable guidelines, taking into account the rates and nature of the assignments;

Checking and keeping files up to date, and informing customers in a timely manner;

Solving ad-hoc irregularities related to ongoing files;

Identifying opportunities for improving the department to increase quality levels, service levels, etc.;

Maintaining contact with agents, carriers, and shipping lines;

Performing all general tasks within the department;

Acting as a backup for the Manager.

Higher vocational education (HBO) or equivalent working/thinking level in a logistics-related field;

Several years of relevant experience in a similar position;

Experience with customer/supplier files and documenting data and rates;

Excellent knowledge of and experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);

Excellent verbal and written command of English and Chinese, Dutch or willing to learn Dutch is preferrable;

Competencies: accurate, commercially minded, proactive, customer-oriented, solution-oriented, and strong organizational skills.
