On July 20th, CICC made its first trade with an overseas client as a market maker under Bond Connect program.
Being an active bond dealer in China, CICC has actively engaged in preparatory works about Bond Connect and has been successfully named one of the 24 market makers, 5 of which are securities houses, under Bond Connect.
Bond Connect will be a vital channel linking the capital markets of mainland China and Hong Kong. Becoming a market maker under Bond Connect program will be advantageous for CICC to further consolidate its ability to better serve overseas investors and raise its profile as the leading Chinese investment bank globally by better leveraging its strength in domestic fixed income trading business and fully tapping its oversea client base.
