China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) successfully hosted the 20th CICC Forum at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on November 2, 2017. The theme of this year’s Forum was “China in Transformation: Embracing a New Era”, which attracted around 680 distinguished guests from the government, academia and the financial and business worlds.
The Forum was held right after the close of the 19th CPC National Congress which had charted a new era and blueprint for China’s development. The speakers shared their views on the spirit of the Congress and expressed opinions on the Belt and Road Initiative, outbound investment, China’s development and the macroeconomic situation at home and abroad, etc.
Three parallel sessions were also held during the Forum focusing separately on cross-border asset allocation and capital market opening, emerging industries, and mixed-ownership reform of SOEs.
CICC Forum dates back to 1998 which is an important annual event of CICC. Each Forum invites government officials, economists, financial professionals and partners of CICC to discuss hot issues in China’s financial sector and the international economy. Thanks to the support from the government, economists and financial professionals, the Forum has become a well-known platform in the industry for exchanging ideas on economic and financial topics.
