China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC, 3908.HK) signed the Framework Agreement to Cooperatively Boost Production Capacity Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on November 8, 2017, joining the effort to establish a synergetic mechanism to promote the BRI capacity cooperation. Mr. Bi Mingjian, Chief Executive Officer of CICC, attended the signing ceremony.
Both sides agreed to take full advantage of NDRC’s overall coordination function in BRI capacity cooperation and CICC’s outstanding cross-border financial service capabilities by establishing a synergetic mechanism. Both sides expected through policy guidance, information sharing, and advancing the fund raising in the BRI capacity cooperation and new-style cooperation in the field of diversified financial services, to accelerate the formation of a sound situation in which the integration of industry and finance would promote the BRI capacity cooperation.
The two sides will hold irregular high-level meetings to periodically sum up the achievement and experience of the cooperation and to make plans for the cooperation priorities of the following stages.
