📖Collection: Biosensing
A biosensor is an integrated receptor-transducer device which converts a biological response into a detectable signal. They can be involved in various scenarios including disease diagnosis and monitoring, drug discovery, and biomedical research. Detecting small molecules related to disease conditions or physiological processes is one of the key utilities of biosensors. Numerous efforts have been made for the refinement of biosensing technology, aiming to improve their performance and applicability.
With this cross-journal Collection, the editors of Communications Biology, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Sensors, Nature Communications, and Scientific Reports welcome the submission of primary research Articles focusing on the development of engineered biosensing devices with the potential to be applied in biomedical research and in the management of disease conditions.
