英语作为全球使用范围最广的语言，影响力已渗透到身边各个角落，英语学习在当今社会，并非只是一门技能而已。为提高项目工程师的英语表达能力，咸阳彩虹项目特别邀请了桑东霞老师来给团队进行一次为期两周的培训。
As the most widely used language, English is a must in every corner of the world. In order to improve our engineer's English expression skills, Xianyang CHOT especially invited Ms. Dongxia Sang to give us a two-week training on Engineering English.
在平时大多数时间里，工程师们都忙于自己专业内的工作，很少会主动学习英语知识，因此桑老师明确此次咸阳之行的目的：尽可能的激发大家对英语学习的兴趣，希望经过此次项目培训，能为大家的英语学习打开一扇门。
For most of the time, we are busy with our professions and barely learn English on our own. Therefore, Ms. Sang made it very clear about this training in the very beginning: to get us learning English as much motivated and stimulated as possible. It’s a lifelong process, she would do her best to lead us toward the right direction.

在还没到项目之前，桑老师已大概了解大家的英语水平，到达的第一天桑老师便开始授课，为大家争取最多的学习时间；第二天她就能叫对所有人的名字。培训第一周，桑老师侧重于基础知识的教学，用生活中的小例子让学员们对英语时态有更清晰的理解，再通过案件分析，引领大家实际运用。桑老师还根据各个专业归纳出工程中常见的英语单词与短语，为接下来的提升授课做准备。
Ms. Sang had known everyone even before she arrived in Xianyang, she started the lesson on the first day, to save us the most valuable time; she called out almost all of our names correctly on her second day. In the first week, we focused on the foundation of the language. Using the small examples of daily life, we finally recognized why and how the grammar works！Then we actually practiced through the dialogues we made for the real scenarios Ms. Sang set up. After all the delighting work, there came the terms on construction engineering, Ms. Sang had them listed under each major, which prepared us for the following sessions.
进入第二周，课堂加入了工程师英语使用中最重要的一个环节——简洁明了地归纳出所在专业的原理及用途。经过“痛苦”地挣扎，加上桑老师不断的鼓励，工程师们在展示时有人借助PPT，有人现场画图辅助，最终大家都圆满完成了任务。最重要的是，通过对原理图的讲解练习，大家逐渐意识到其实英语没想象中可怕，需要的是更多的练习和自信！
In the second week, we came to the most important phase—summarizing the principles and uses of our majors. With our struggles and lots of encouragement from Ms. Sang, either showing by slide or drawing by hands, eventually WE DID IT! What matters the most for the whole training is we start to realize that it is not THAT difficult to learn English, what we need is more practice and confidence!
为了让大家更深层次地了解文化差异文化冲突，桑老师为大家带来英文电影《雄狮》。桑老师鼓励大家在日常娱乐中，多留心不同文化间的差异，通过培养兴趣从而促进英语学习。
Movie, Lion, showed us the culture conflicts, which allowed us to understand the culture difference and shock. Ms. Sang encouraged us to pay attention to the culture differences in daily entertainment to keep us interested in English Learning

通过此次培训，专业工程师们有机会用英语面对面互相讨论、分享自己的经验。每一个看法、每一个总结都给彼此带来了不一样的收获。本次培训的顺利进行，离不开项目经理李浩的积极组织，施工经理王栋更是堂堂不落，积极与项目员工互动，为所有人树立了一个好榜样。
Through this training, we, professional engineers had the opportunity to discuss with each other face-to-face and share our experiences in English. Each opinion brings something fresh to one another. Thank our project manager, Mr. Hao Li, it was him who brought this great training for us; as our site manager, Mr. Dong Wang never missed a class and actively interacted in class, he definitely set up the best example for us.
英语作为一门外语，对于初学者而言没有汉语言生涩，但是贵在持之以恒，温故知新。临别时桑老师叮嘱大家：学习是一个长期积累的过程，一日曝十日寒最无益，两个星期的培训时间很短，但是大家未来还有很长的路需要坚持。
As a foreign language, English is actually not as hard as it sounds. Like Ms. Sang said: two weeks is very short, learning is a process of long-term accumulation, we have to keep it rolling.
