Lab-Zhou – Post-Doctoral Fellow
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiaoyu Zhou at The Wistar Institute. The Zhou lab investigates intercellular immune communications through a combination of synthetic receptor engineering and endogenous gene perturbations, with the goal of developing innovative immunotherapies against cancer and other diseases.
Example research projects include developing novel gene editing tools to enable high-content genetic perturbations for the discovery of therapeutic targets; and engineering immune receptors to reprogram T cell function in solid tumors.
We are looking for highly motivated individual who is interested in gene editing, immune engineering, and immunotherapy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CRISPR gene editing and/ or T cell engineering. Additional experience with computational data analysis would be highly desired.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Cellular or Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics, Bioinformatics or relevant field is required. In addition to the online application, interested individuals should apply by submitting all the following as ONE single PDF file to Dr. Xiaoyu Zhou, xazhou@wistar.org:
A CV with publication list (published and in preparation)
One-page cover letter detailing their scientific interest, career goals, and outlining potential interest areas for postdoctoral research projects
Names and contacts for three references
