Judging from a factual perspective, the Data Security Law is an essential law with extremely high hierarchy. Taking it as the watershed, what we look back to is the outstanding Cybersecurity Law; what we look forward to is the Personal Information Protection Law on the horizon. They together form the "troika", escorting and navigating this digital network era of our nation.

ITS arrival has triggered the heated discussions in the whole society and even attracted global attention, bringing extensive questions to be contemplated. What kinds of effects will be resulted from such new legislation? How shall various subject scope with these consequences? How will IT be coherent and cohesive with the cybersecurity and personal security and how could IT be embodied and applied in criminal and civil law fields? All kinds of problems seem difficult to be answered in front of ITS GENERAL and STRIGENT regulatory requirements, leaving confusion only.

Jincheng Tongda & Neal, together with AonCOFCO, WeLegal, and CROSS FINANCE jointly organize a seminar as to the Data Security Law and is going to release the White Paper on the Data Security Law Compliance Guidelines (Chinese-English Version).

Guests of this seminar mainly are cybersecurity experts, insurance industry experts and professional lawyers in different fields, including data compliance, criminal law, dispute resolution, etc. These guests will share wonderful insights around the topic of data security, and will also extend discussion to the topics such as cybersecurity, personal information protection, criminal and civil law prospective and the coherence of extraterritorial legislations.

The White Paper takes the Data Security Law as the entry point, dismantling, analyzing and intensively interpreting the content of itsprovisions. Meanwhile, it will extract 9 sections of compliance guidelines that cover network security level protection, the construction of the whole process internal management system, data asset inventory, categorization and classification, security monitoring and emergency disposal, localized storage and cross-border transfer of data and cooperation with law enforcement and report, so as to provide appropriate risk warnings and compliance recommendations for all kinds of institutions.
