There are many different test methods which can be used to determine Dk (dielectric constant), but very few of these methods are capable at millimeter-wave frequencies. There are many challenges to defining a test method at millimeter-wave frequencies, such as small wavelengths, radiation, spurious wave propagating modes and unwanted resonances. This video gives an overview of several test methods which have been used to determine Dk at millimeter-wave frequencies.
