BRAD WILKINS OF HKS UNVEILS ONE RESIDENCE IN DOWNTOWN DUBAI

Ginco Properties and HKS have unveiled One Residence, a new highrise condominium tower in Downtown Dubai marked with a striking curvilinear facade. With the design concept led by Brad Wilkins, the structure is enveloped by a sequence of rounded earth-toned balconies that echo the UAE’s sweeping sand dunes, maritime heritage, and contemporary water-centric economy. From here, residents can enjoy expansive views of the city and its canals while sheltered from the sun by shading elements that harness the breeze to optimize thermal comfort. Construction of One Residence is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2024, with completion anticipated by 2027.

RHYTHMIC CURVES UNRAVEL ACROSS THE EARTH-TONED FACADE

Luxury living in the heart of the city, One Residence emphasizes fostering community and well-being, with a focus on bridging indoors and outdoors, climate-sensitive features, and state-of-the-art amenities. Brad Wilkins, formerly of HKS, further marks One Residence’ fluid form by spacious floor plates, large outdoor areas, and scenic terraces. The building’s abstract geometries use contoured, patterned, and numerically arranged elements that persist in nature, purified in a rhythmic language that nods to the regional Emirati craft of Al Sadu weaving.

大自然进一步融入住宅中，室外景观得到优化，包括生物多样性在内的美景让人心旷神怡。同时，室外空间与生活区融为一体，为公共空间带来视觉、听觉和水的感觉，使人精神振奋，减轻压力。塔楼内有 453 个单元，从高端单间到四居室单元，还有联合办公空间、无边际泳池、健身中心、室外休息室、电影院和儿童游乐区。

Nature is further integrated into the residences, as views of the outdoors are optimized to enhance well-being through scenic views including the visibility of biodiversity. Meanwhile, outdoor spaces meld into living areas, bringing in the sight, sound, and sensation of water to communal spaces to uplift and de-stress. Within, the tower houses 453 units, ranging from high-end studios to four-bedroom units, as well as co-working spaces, infinity-edge pools, a fitness center, outdoor lounges, a cinema, and a children’s play area.
