Obeid Retail Complex is a contemporary commercial hub in Lebanon's mountainous region that houses a major local supermarket chain and contributes to elevating its public presence and reach. The project introduces an unconventional architectural approach that redefines local retail experiences and has since attracted established brands, positioning the center as a new commercial destination.

该项目融合了商业和社交空间，有一个三层的超市、美食广场和开放式停车设施。上层为办公和零售空间。精心的规划确保了流畅的流程和不间断的操作，增强了功能和整体体验。清晰、直观的循环无缝引导用户。

The program blends commercial and social spaces, with a three-story supermarket, food court, and open parking facilities. Upper floors accommodate office and retail spaces. Careful planning ensures smooth flow and uninterrupted operations, enhancing functionality and overall experience. Clear, intuitive circulation guides users seamlessly.

概念起源源于“抛弃怪异”的想法，这是一种充满自信和清晰的建筑姿态，打破了周围的乡土。悬臂式上层向前推进，在街景中占据主导地位，同时形成一个遮蔽的入口，提供一个受欢迎的、受保护的空间。

The conceptual genesis stems from the idea of "dropping a weirdo", an architectural gesture that disrupts the surrounding vernacular with confidence and clarity. Cantilevered upper floors thrust forward, asserting dominance over the streetscape while forming a sheltered entrance that offers a welcoming, protected space.

建筑的立面平衡了工业的原始与精致的精致。几何白色铝表皮由算法逻辑塑造，将结构包裹在固体和透明之间交替的分层图案中。这个动态的立面隐藏了不规则的功能，同时提供了对建筑内部生活的一瞥，平衡了隐私，遮阳和通风。

The building's facade balances industrial rawness with refined sophistication. A geometric white aluminum skin, shaped by algorithmic logic, wraps the structure in layered patterns that alternate between solid and transparent. This dynamic facade conceals irregular functions while offering glimpses into the building's interior life, balancing privacy, shading, and ventilation.

The project's evolution was shaped by design and construction challenges that shaped the outcome. A compact plot and narrow street frontage prompted a vertical distribution of spaces and the introduction of a cantilevered mass to amplify street presence. Structurally, minimizing columns in wide halls required large spans and cantilevered floors, demanding advanced engineering with the use of specialized tension cables and high-precision concrete techniques that pushed the limits of local construction practices.

双层立面通过隔热、通风、阳光控制和隐私融合了可持续发展的思想。层间的空腔在冬季保持温暖，在夏季保持气流，减少能源消耗，最大限度地减少对机械系统的依赖。外部屏幕软化阳光和眩光，同时允许自然光进入，保持舒适、隐私，并与外部建立视觉联系。

The double-skin facade integrates sustainable thinking through insulation, ventilation, sun control, and privacy. The cavity between the layers retains warmth in winter and enables airflow in summer, reducing energy consumption and minimizing reliance on mechanical systems. The outer screen softens sunlight and glare while allowing natural light in, maintaining comfort, privacy, and framed visual connection with the exterior.

在传统低层建筑占主导地位的背景下，该建筑引入了一个大胆的新标志。它不仅加强了超市的身份，而且将场地重新定位为该地区商业和建筑景观中的前瞻性中心。Obeid零售综合体反映了建筑的变革潜力，在严格的限制下创造了一个大胆的存在，并为黎巴嫩建筑环境的发展做出了贡献。

In a context dominated by conventional low-rise structures, the building introduces a bold new icon. It not only reinforces the supermarket's identity but also repositions the site as a forward-looking hub within the region's commercial and architectural landscape. Obeid Retail Complex reflects the transformative potential of architecture, creating a bold presence out of tight constraints and contributing to the evolving narrative of Lebanon's built environment.
