In 2024, we announced a £7.1 million investment in an all-new fuel cell testing facility at Chelveston Renewable Energy Park in Northamptonshire.
Twelve months on, we’re entering the final stages of construction and can share some highlights of the project so far.
First up: a look at our new modular laboratories as they depart Finland, where they were designed and built by the clean power testing specialists at Proventia. Off-site manufacturing allowed us to progress construction at Chelveston in parallel – speeding delivery and increasing efficiency.
These cutting-edge labs will soon serve as development hubs for our DRIVE and FLIGHT fuel cells, enabling us to advance their high-power capabilities like never before.
They also provide the testing capacity essential to the recently announced HEIGHTS programme – a major step towards deploying zero-emission power systems in aircraft within the next decade.
