ENHANCE MOONPOOL PERFORMANCE WITH BV’S ADVANCED CFD TECHNOLOGY
Moonpool has huge impacts on ship’s performance in term of resistance and seakeeping, and they must be accurately evaluated during design stage. BV ATRC Shanghai worked with Hydrocean on advanced CFD technology and tools. Vessels with moonpool can be precisely evaluated and deeply optimized by use of RANS-VOF solvers in a very short time in open or close moonpool condition taking into account all the non-linear effects and appendages in full scale.
