Affected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Wuhan, China Domestic, international and regional airlines have stopped flights to China or reduced flights frequency to China. The information is summarized as follows. For detailed information, it is suggested to refer to the official website or call the airline service hotline.

Major international airline flights adjustments


United Airlines:

Suspend flights from some American Cities to/from Beijing, Hong Kong, Chengdu and Shanghai until April 24.


Delta:

All flights between China and the United States from February 6, 2020 to April 30, 2020 will be temporarily cancelled.


American Airlines:

Suspend flights from mainland China to Dalls/L.A. until April 24. Suspend flights from Hong Kong to Dalls until April 23. Suspend flights from Hong Kong to L.A. until April 24.


British Airways:

BA Flights between London Heathrow and Beijing/Shanghai will be suspended until March 31, 2020, BA flights to and from Hong Kong remain unaffected Suspend all flights to from China mainland until further notice


Air France:

Cancel flights to Wuhan until March 29. Cancel flights to Shanghai, Beijing until March 15.


ANA:


Air Canada:

Suspend all international flights from Canada to/from Beijing and Shanghai until March 27.


Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Swissair and Austrian Airlines):

Suspend all international flights to/from Beijing and Shanghai until February 29.

Suspend all international flights to/from Nanjing, Shenyang and Qingdao until March 28.

Flights to Europe and Hong Kong remain unchanged.


Singapore Airlines and SilkAir:

Our Flights to and from Chengdu, Shenzhen and Xiamen will be suspended from February 17 to March 28, 2020

During the period of February - March 28, 2020, we will continue to provide daily flights to Beijing and Shanghai. We will fly to Guangzhou on every Mon, Wed and Fri and to Chongqing once a week so as to provide flights services for passengers with real needs.

From February 2020, Will partly cut flight operation between Singapore and mainland. The affected flights include Singapore to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chengdu and Chongqing. Impact period: February 2020


KLM Royal Dutch Airlines:

Beijing and Shanghai flights are suspended from February 3 to February 9. And previously announced suspend flights to Chengdu, Hangzhou and Xiamen.


SAS:

Suspend flights from Copenhagen to Beijing and Shanghai until March 29.


Emirates:

Emirates Beijing outbound flights continue to operate, but healthy examination are required. From 5 Feb, EK307 (23:40), passengers need to arrive at the airport 4 hours in advance for healthy examination.

From 5 Feb 20 flights between UAE and Shanghai, Guangzhou will be suspended until further notice, Flights from UAE to Beijing and Hong Kong remain normal operation.


Etihad Airways:

Cancel flights between Beijing and Nagoya until March 28. Etihad flights to Shanghai (PVG) and Chengdu (CTU) will be suspended until March 28 Daily flights to and from Beijing will be operated normally, but passengers will strict health checks before departure.


Qatar Airways:

Flights to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou will be suspended until February 29, 2020;

Flights to Hangzhou, Chongqing and Chengdu will be suspended until March 31, 2020.


Virgin:

London-Shanghai service will be suspended until March 28, 2020.


Korean Air:

All Chinese passengers (regardless of place of departure) are not allowed to transfer at all airports (ICN, GMP, PUS, CJU) in South Korea without a valid South Korean visa. (Chinese passengers with valid South Korean visa can transfer normally except for visa issued in Wuhan.). Effective date: February 2 – until further notice.

Canceled:

There are varied cancellation for flights from Incheon, Busan and Jeju to Wuhan, Huangshan, Zhangjiajie, Changsha, Kunming, Qingdao, Nanjing, Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, Shenzhen, Shenyang, Hefei, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Jinan, Tianjin, Weihai, Xi'an and Zhengzhou during the period of Feb 2 - Mar 28.

Reduce flight frequency:

2/11-3/28

KE869/870 Incheon-Dalian (7 flights a week->4 flights a week) fly Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun

KE891/892 Incheon-Yanji (7 flights a week ->4 flights a week) fly Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun

2/18-3/28

KE865/866 Incheon-Guangzhou (7 flights a week ->4 flights a week) fly Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun

2/20-3/28

KE823/824 Incheon-Mudanjiang(5 flights a week->3 flights a week) fly Tue, Fri, Sun   


Turkish Airlines:

All flights between Mainland China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xi'an) and Turkey will be suspended until the end of February.


Finnair:

Suspend all flights to/from Beijing and Shanghai until March 28

Suspend Helsinki to/from Beijing Daxing International Airport from February 5 to March 29

Suspend Helsinki to/from Nanjing from February 8 to March 28

Suspend all flights to and from Guangzhou from February 5 to March 29


Jetstar (Singapore):

Suspend flights to/from Hefei, Guiyang and Xuzhou from 31JAN 2020.


SriLankan Airlines:

From February 6 to March 28, weekly flights to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou were reduced to 4, 2, and 3.


Air India:

Air India will suspend flights between India and Shanghai, from January 31, 2020 to March 28, 2020. AI 348 (BOM-DEL-PVG) and AI 349 (PVG-DEL)


Iberia Airlines:

Flights to China (Mardrid-Shanghai) will be suspended during March and April.


Qantas:

Suspend direct flights from Sydney to Beijing and Sydney to Shanghai from February 9 until March 29.



The following are other airlines temporarily halting flights.(More details please check with the official websites. )


The following airlines will reduce the flights frequency.


Cathay Pacific Airlines & Dragon air (Hong Kong):

Cancel all flights from February 2 to March 28 to Hangzhou, Ningbo, Sanya, Wenzhou and Haikou (the flights on February 8 to Haikou are normal), and the flights to/from Guangzhou will be suspended from February 5 to February 29.


EVA Air & Uni Air:

From February 10 to April 29, We will remain limited flight operations of 5 destinations from Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, Shanghai Hongqiao, Xiamen, Chengdu to Taiwan and the rest of the flights will be cancelled

Flights between Beijing and Taipei (i.e. BR715 / 716) are cancelled on 2 / 16, 2 / 18, 2 / 20, 2 / 22, 2 / 25, 2 / 27 and 2 / 29.


China Airlines & Mandarin Airlines:

From February 10 to April 29, We will remain limited flight operations of 5 destinations from Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, Shanghai Hongqiao, Xiamen, Chengdu to Taiwan and the rest of the flights will be cancelled

At present, the official website of China Airlines has published the cancellation in the next 20 days, and the cancellation before April 29 will be published in next week. HK Express: cancel flights on 7Feb20, 12Feb20-28Mar20 between Hong Kong and Miyakojima (Shimojishima).



The following are the refund and rebooking policies of major domestic airlines in response to the epidemic:


China Eastern Airlines:

Affected by the decision of the Singapore government to suspend receiving passengers from mainland China to enter Singapore in the past 14 days, China Eastern Airlines will cancel the actual operated flights between Singapore and China (Shanghai / Changchun / Hangzhou / Quanzhou / Changsha / Yantai / Kunming) from February 2 to March 28, 2020.

Affected by the Italian government's suspension of all flights in mainland China, China Eastern Airlines cancelled the actual operated flights between Rome and Shanghai between January 31, 2020 and April 29, 2020.

China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines has cancelled flights to/from Wuhan on 25Jan2020.

Affected passengers could apply for 1 free re-booking within ticket validity.

Re-booking penalty and fare difference (in same class) can be waived.

Second time re-booking should be subject to fare rules

Supplements:

1. For ticket issued(including re-issued) before 28Jan2020, travel date after 1Jan2020(including), ticket number started with 781(including redemption ticket). Passenger could apply for a fully refund within 1 year ticket validity.

2. In view of the entry restriction of Chinese passengers by many countries , from January 24, 2020 (including), all China Eastern International tickets involving the cancellation can be refunded or rescheduled (including re-route) within the ticket validity, and the applicable period will be extended to June 30, 2020 (including).

3. Under the influence of Australia's entry restriction policy, any passenger who has purchased the ticket of China Eastern involving Australia route but is unable to enter Australia is permitted to have 1 free reschedule with the same route of China Eastern before June 30, 2020. Or apply for a fully refund through original ticketing office.

Beijing Capital - Los Angeles - San Francisco - Los Angeles - Beijing Capital CA983/984 operates on 2 / 4 / 5 / 7 every week

Beijing Capital - New York Kennedy - Washington - New York Kennedy - Beijing Capital CA981/982 operates on 1 / 3 / 6 every week

Air China Waivers updates

(1) Routes involve Wuhan

Date of purchase: before January 31, 2020(including)

Travel date: January 1, 2020(including) to March 29, 2020 (including)

For the first time to apply for rescheduling, free of charge within the ticket validity, fare difference can be waived;

For the second time to apply for rescheduling, it shall be handled according to the ticket rules.

Refund: Fully refund permitted within the validity period of the ticket, penalties can be waived..

(2) Other routes

1. Date of purchase: before 0:00 on January 28, 2020

2. Travel date: after January 1, 2020(including)

3. reschedule: according to the ticket rules

4. Refund

(1) After 0:00 on January 28, 2020, refund penalty can be waived for ticket reservation canceled before the flight takes off and within ticket validity.

(2) After 0:00 on January 28, 2020, if you apply for refund after flight takes off but your travel date is before February 29, the refund penalty can be waived

(3)  For passengers have been restricted from entry

1. Date of purchase: Unlimited

2. Travel date: from January 24, 2020 (including) to March 29, 2020(including) (the specific route shall be subject to the restricted entry information issued by the destination country)

3. Change regulations: 1 free reschedule,  cannot re-route

4. Ticket refund regulations: if the reservation is cancelled before the flight takes off, you can apply for free ticket refund within the ticket validity.

(4) For Special passenger

1. Applicable passengers:

(1) All medical workers fighting on the front line;

(2) Novel coronavirus pneumonia suspected or diagnosed

2. Date of purchase: Unlimited

3. Travel date: from January 1, 2020 (including) to March 29, 2020 (including)

4. Change regulations: 1 free reschedule,  cannot re-route

5. Refund regulations:

(1) Medical staff can refund the ticket free of charge within the validity period of the ticket with Employee ID and valid personal ID card.

(2) Novel coronavirus pneumonia suspected or diagnosed passenger could apply for a free refund with Certificate of diagnosis issue by a medical institution within the ticket validity

Cancellation:

Mainland China-Singapore route: the daily flight CA969 / 970 from Beijing to Singapore and the flight CA775 / 776 on February 2, 2020 will remain on schedule, other flights from February 2 to February 29 between Beijing and Singapore and the flights from Chengdu to Singapore will be cancelled.

Mainland China – Vietnam route: February 2 to March 28, flights from Beijing - Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing - Hanoi, Hangzhou - Nha Trang, Chongqing - Nha Trang have been canceled.  Mar 29, Ho Chi Minh - Beijing has been cancelled

Mainland China – Australia route : From February 3 to March 28, Chengdu – Sydney have been cancelled.  From February 5 to February 29, Beijing - Sydney, Beijing - Melbourne have been cancelled.

January 31-april 29: Beijing-Rome, Beijing-Milan, Shanghai Pudong-Milan, Hangzhou-Rome

February 1-March 2: Beijing-Ulan Bator, Hohhot-Ulan Bator

Applicable ticket:

Ticket issued before 00:00 28Jan2020, travel date after 1Jan2020(including), ticket number started with 999 and actual carrier is Air China or Air China code share flights.

Passenger could apply for fully refund within 1 year of ticket validity. Refund application should be made before flight departure.

If passenger apply for refund or rebooking after flight departure, the refund and rebooking penalty and fare difference cannot be waived.


China Southern Airlines:

Cancellation:

CZ310/309 Beijing Daxing – Hong Kong from March 29 to April 28 has been cancelled,

CZ317/318 Beijing – Seoul Gimpo from March 31 to April 28 has been cancelled in 2,4 every week,

CZ679/680 Beijing Daxing – Istanbul from March 31 to June 18 has been cancelled,

CZ347 Guangzhou - Paris from February 10 to March 28 has been cancelled in 2,4,6 every week,

CZ301 Guangzhou - Sydney from February 11 to March 28 has been cancelled

CZ343 Guangzhou - Melbourne from February 11 to March 29 has been cancelled.

CZ381 Guangzhou - Brisbane from February 11 to March 28 has been cancelled.

CZ633 Guangzhou - Nairobi from February 11 to March 29 has been cancelled.

CZ64 Guangzhou- Melbourne will be suspend after February 5.

1 free rebooking or refund is permitted within ticket validity, for ticket started from overseas city, passenger could apply for 1 free re-route to other China mainland cities, the flight should be actually operated by China Southern Airlines.

For tickets not involve Wuhan:

Passengers holding unused ticket issued before 28Jan 2020, actual carrier is China Southern Airlines or its Code Share flight with flight number “CZ”, travel date from 28Jan2020 to 29Mar 2020. Ticket number started with 874(including incentive ticket and redemption ticket.)  could apply for a fully refund within ticket validity.
