NEW SOFTWARE SPEEDS UP CARGO APPROVALS
Bureau Veritas has developed new software for the issuance of DoCs and SoCs for Ships Carrying Dangerous Goods. VeriSTAR Dangerous Goods & Bulk (VDGB) is the result of a detailed study on improving generated lists of Classes and Products. It will provide a customized checklist for the surveyor that takes into account ship information and particulars as well as compartment types. The surveyor no longer needs to keep in mind all applicable carriage requirements or their revisions. At the end of his/her survey he/she can generate a valid and accurate list of Classes (DoC) and list of Products (SoC) in under three seconds.
This new software will also be available to our clients, who will be able to access their entire fleet at a glance, and understand why one particular cargo can be transported whilst another cannot.
