Bureau Veritas launches emissions data compliance tool - My Fuel Consumption
Bureau Veritas has introduced the first phase of My Fuel Consumption software system. My Fuel Consumption is a cloud-based web application, objective is to support IMO-DCS and EU-MRV regulations with easy, digital and lean process for ship owners and Bureau Veritas verifiers.
IMO’s Data Collection System (IMO DCS) is in force from March 2018. Designed to control greenhouse gas emissions from global shipping, it requires ships over 5,000 GT to collect consumption data for each type of fuel oil they use, as well as other data impacting CO2 emissions such as distance traveled and time spent at sea.
The first step of My Fuel Consumption enables ship owners to create their SEEMP on-line and submit it for review to Bureau Veritas.
The second step, in June, will enable the on-line declaration of fuel consumption for IMO DCS and CO2 emission for MRV, in one single form.
My Fuel Consumption is designed for desktop, tablet and smartphone usage. It's accessible from VeriStarInfo and directly from the following link.
