JK Rowling is to make her screenwriting debut in a new Harry Potter-themed film series for Warner Bros, the BBC reported. The first film of the series will be titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Rowling said that it is neither a prequel (前传) nor a sequel (续集) to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world.
