By 2015, the broadband access speed in China's urban households will reach 20 Mbps, and rural households are expected to have a broadband speed of 4 Mbps, according to a guideline
released by the State Council Wednesday, xinhuanet.com reported.
To upgrade telecommunications infrastructure, the government will release 4G mobile communications licenses later this year.
据新华网报道，国务院14日印发《关于促进信息消费扩大内需的若干意见》，其中提出到2015年，城市家庭宽带接入能力基本达到每秒20兆比特，农村家庭宽带接入能力达到每秒4兆比特。为改善信息基础设施，政府还将推动于2013年内发放第四代移动通信(4G)牌照。
