An identical replica of Egyptian Sphinx located in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, has attracted great attention from Egypt's antiquities department, foreign media reported. The department has made complaints to UNESCO about the construction side building the replica without Egypt's approval. Egyptian Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim said the site is a violation of Egypt's rights to its cultural heritage. According to the person responsible for the cultural and creative garden in which the Hebei Sphinx is located, the replica is a temporary construction for shooting a film and it will be demolished as soon as the film is finished.
据外媒报道，近期河北省石家庄市一座高仿的埃及狮身人面像引起埃及文物部门高度关注，由于施工方未获得埃及方面的许可即建造复制品，遭到埃及文物部门向联合国教科文组织投诉。埃及文物国务部长穆罕默德·易卜拉欣表示，这侵犯了埃及文化遗产主权。对此，河北"狮身人面像"所在文化创意园负责人称，该尊狮身人面像是拍戏用的临时性场景，拍摄完了就拆除。
