Samsung Electronics Co is pushing into the US government sector, adding further pressure on the new leadership at BlackBerry Ltd, the company that once dominated that market, The Wall Street Journal reported. Samsung recently won an order for roughly 7,000 smartphones from the US Army and is close to an order for several thousand devices from the US National Security Agency, according to a person familiar with the deals. While those orders pale in comparison to overall phone sales at Samsung, they signal to other companies that Samsung smartphones can work in sensitive environments.
