Employees who stay in the same job for more than two years will earn 50% less over their lifetime than people who change companies more frequently, research has found, according to UK media. For loyal workers, there is often a limit to salary rises since they based on the current salary, while the employees who start afresh can usually command a higher base salary. The average raise an employee who stays is 3%. By contrast the average raise an employee receives on joining a new company is between 10% to 20%.
