在中国，"基友"主题现在在网络上很流行，两个要好的异性恋者被称为"好基友"。娱乐圈一些男艺人甚至假装暧昧，博取话题。我想知道在西方国家是否也有这样的情况？

Activists and their supporters in many Western countries have worked very hard over the last several decades to eliminate bias, prejudice and discrimination against gays. So some might consider "teasing" straight friends that characterizes their close relationship is "gay" as really rude. Male celebrities pretending to be gay in a publicity stunt (炒作) would be considered offensive. But a parody of gay people in a movie, play or TV skit wouldn't necessarily be bad if it was done with good humor.
过去数十年，西方国家的社会活动人士及其支持者一直致力于消除人们对同性恋者的偏见和歧视。对于将异性恋之间的亲密友谊"打趣"成同性恋，有些人会认为这样做非常无礼。男艺人之间假装暧昧作为宣传噱头，也会被看作是对同性恋群体的冒犯。但是在电影、戏剧和电视滑稽短剧中，如果演员们以搞笑的方式模仿同性恋者，倒也未必令人反感。
