The Immigration Bureau of Thailand has asked foreigners to carry no less than 20,000 Thai Baht in cash or the same amount of other currencies upon arrival in Thailand, adding credit cards and debit cards can't be accepted as proof of personal finances,according to local media. Immigration officers will inspect tourists at random, and those who don't fulfill the requirement will berefused entry. The Chinese Embassy in Thailand has issued a notice on its website to remind Chinese tourists of carrying sufficient cash when entering Thailand.
据当地媒体报道,泰国移民局日前规定,进入泰国境内的外籍人士必须随身携带不少于2万泰铢的现金或等值外汇(约合人民币3820元),银行信用卡及储蓄卡等不能作为个人财力证明。泰国移民局官员将随机抽查游客,如发现现金额度不足者将拒绝入境。我国驻泰使馆已在官网发布通知,提醒中国游客赴泰携带足够现金。
