The 2nd season of China's food documentary,"A Bite of China," aired recently set off many Chinese viewers'homesickness, foreign media reported. "'Bite 2' makes me think of my parents and grandmother," one Weibo user wrote. "I haven't been home in a long time, so I've decided to go back in a few days." For one viewer living overseas in the US, just thinking of all that Chinese food was enough to make her homesick. Writing on her Weibo account, she said: "Let's not eventalk about getting a glimpse of the actual show - just reading all the onlineconversations [about the documentary] is enough to make people like me, who pretend to be cool, high-end and cosmopolitan, be exposed for just how patriotic I am."
据外媒报道，近日开播的美食纪录片《舌尖上的中国》第二季勾起不少观众的思乡情。一位微博网友写道，《舌尖2》使他想起了父母和奶奶，他已经好久没回家了，所以决定过几天回去一趟。而对于一位旅居美国的观众来说，单是想想所有的中国菜就已让她乡愁满腹了。这位观众在微博上写道，都不用说瞥一眼这部片子，光是看[该片的]网上评论就足以让她这样假装高端冷艳、国际化的人将爱国情怀暴露无遗了。
The touching documentary reminds some people of their mother, and makes some realize that every grain comes from hard and laborious toil. "The scenes of digging for bamboo shoots, hanging hams, catching fish using a net, opening a steamer filled with white steamedbuns, and pulling wheat dough into thin strands for noodles move us to tears." a viewer said.
