Citing the second paragraph of Article 86 of the Anti-Terrorism Law of the People's Republic of China, the police imposed a fine of 100,000 yuan on the hotel involved.
In other news, the police in Maqin, northwestern China's Qinghai Province, also announced that they have issued the first "anti-terrorism fine" in 2025 to a gas station in Dawu Town.
The station was fined 20,000 yuan, and the operator, Mr. Han was personally fined 1,000 yuan. Why?
According to the report, the Anti-Terrorism Office of Maqin County found that the gas station did not carry out a staff background review and did not have a standard work ledger as required by authorities.
A further investigation revealed that the staff ignored the safety precautions and sold gas in bulk twice, violating the law. Furthermore, this was the second time that the staff were found to sell gas in bulk.
On January 14 this year, the gas station and the owner were fined 20,000 yuan and 1,000 yuan, respectively.
