2019 ABB杯智能技术创新大赛于5月8日正式启动。本届大赛由ABB主办 、中国自动化学会协办，以 “智能技术·创领未来” 为主题，旨在发掘和培养更多优秀的智能产业技术人才，推进智能产业理论与实践相结合，解决工程领域的实际问题。
The 2019 ABB Cup National Intelligent Technology Innovation Contest officially kicked off on May 8. Under the theme of "Writing the future with intelligent technology", the contest is jointly organized by ABB and the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA). It aims to provide a platform to display and exchange local innovations in intelligent industries, support the cultivation of technical talents, and promote the integration of industry and academic research.
该活动融合了两大年度赛事——ABB杯全国智能技术论文大赛与ABB大学生创新大赛，面向中国大陆及香港、澳门、台湾地区在职人员以及普通高校和高职院校学生。参赛选题包括智能制造、智慧园区和智能建筑三个类别，选手可从中选择、设计与创作。
This contest innovatively integrates ABB's two annual contests - ABB Cup National Intelligent Technology Thesis Contest and ABB University Innovation Contest. It is open to professionals working in automation and digital technology and full-time undergraduates, postgraduate students and doctoral students at schools in China including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The contest focuses on three topics: “Smart city”, “Smart campus” and “Smart building”. Contestants choose one topic for their design and proposal.
大赛报名及作品递交的截止日期为2019年8月31日，入围选手将在2019年10月举行的决赛答辩环节角逐一、二、三等奖，赢取奖金以及ABB（中国）有限公司招聘直通车“绿卡”，并得到业内资深专家、学者的面对面指导。同时，ABB还将在官网及微信号设置投票页面，评选“最佳人气团队奖”。
The deadline for registration and works submission is August 31, 2019. The finalists will compete in the final defense in October for the first, second and third prizes as well as of the “fast pass cards” to get ABB’s recruiting opportunities. They will also get face-to-face mentoring from industry experts and scholars. Moreover, the Most Popular Team Award will be selected in an online vote at ABB official website and WeChat accounts.

By holding the intelligent technology innovation contest, ABB hopes to provide a platform for talented people with innovation awareness, a research spirit and entrepreneurial ideas. It aims to help the contestants understand leading technologies, access expert resources and gain practical experience, as well as stimulate the innovative ideas of young people and help their career development.
ABB杯智能技术创新大赛的前身是ABB杯全国自动化系统工程师论文大赛与ABB大学生创新大赛。ABB大学生创新大赛自2012年首次举办以来，已成功举办了七届，吸引了社会的广泛关注，累计吸引近8000余名高校学生的踊跃参与。ABB杯全国自动化系统工程师论文大赛是由中国自动化学会与ABB联合于2005年创办，累计已有10910人参赛，提交有效论文4314篇，其中226篇为优秀获奖论文。
The predecessors of this event are the ABB Cup National Automation System Engineer Thesis Contest and the ABB University Innovation Contest. Launched in 2012, the ABB University Innovation Contest has been held seven times and attracted huge attention. In total, the contest has drawn more than 8,000 participants. The ABB Cup National Automation System Engineer Thesis Contest was initiated by CAA and ABB in 2005. In 14 years, the contest has attracted 10,910 contestants and received 4,314 theses. Out of these, 266 were elected as award winners.
