The first cinematic portrayal of the legendary pilot who made one of the most miraculously emergency landing in the country's civil aviation history opened across domestic theaters on the eve of the National Day holiday.

If your memory got a bit blurred about the news details, let's first take a retrospective of what took place on the flight 3U8633, which was captained by Liu heading from Chongqing to Lhasa on May 14, 2018.

如果你记不太清楚去年那条新闻，那就一起来回顾下吧。那是2018年5月14日，刘传健驾驶川航航班3U8633从重庆飞往拉萨。

After around 40 minutes at a height of nearly 10,000 meters above ground, a piece of cockpit windshield shattered, sucking out half the body of his co-pilot. Luckily, the man wore a seatbelt and was clinging tightly against the window.

在起飞约40分钟后，距离地面近万米高空，驾驶舱的一块挡风玻璃突然破裂脱落，导致副驾驶员半个身子被吸出。幸运的是，他系有安全带，被吸附在外面的玻璃上。

Without the glass, temperature inside the cockpit abruptly fell to -40 ℃, and the pilots were just wearing shirts. Besides, the plane also lost its automatic controls. Liu, a former air force veteran who had flown the same route over 100 times, safely landed at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, relying on his experience, calmness and courage.

It's a movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Actor Zhang Hanyu stars as the legendary pilot. In recent years, Zhang has portrayed several heroic protagonists in box office hits, such as special agent Yang Zirong in The Taking of Tiger Mountain and Gao Gang, the team leader of a special squad who hunts drug traffickers in Operation Mekong.

这是一部会让你一直捏着一把汗的影片，张涵予饰演这位传奇机长。这几年来，张涵予在大银幕上的角色都以英雄为主，比如《智取威虎山》中的侦查员杨子荣和《湄公河行动》中的缉毒队特别行动小组队长高刚。

Unlike most of his previous screen roles, requiring a great deal of stunt work, the new role requires Zhang to convey tense emotion through his eyes and limited movement, as he sits in the pilot's seat through most of the runtime.

As a special effects-studded disaster epic, the airliner is perhaps the most significant prop. To pursue the best realistic effect, the film purchased a life-size replica of the airliner from a production company in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

Actress Yuan Quan is another light. She plays the chief flight attendant, vividly portraying a heroine who stays professional and brave through scenes decently facing a rude passenger, and comforting scared passengers when the incident is occurring.

袁泉也是该片的一大亮点。她饰演一名乘务长，生动地诠释了一个称职和勇敢的民航女英雄。在影片中，她面对举止粗鲁的乘客，举止得体不卑不亢；事故发生镇定自若，安抚受惊乘客。

Despite building tension throughout, the film also has some funny moments. When an inspector played by Zhu Yawen walks into the cockpit to check the broken window after landing, he turns to Zhang's pilot and says: "How could you be so amazingly awesome?"

The line sparked laughter from most of the audience, as if it articulated exactly what they wanted to say to the heroic pilot.
