❶ 入戏太深、太沉迷可以翻译成immersed in和addicted to，注意这两个词的介词搭配。
❷ 要表达某事没有意义时，可以用(there's) no point (in) (doing something)。这也是一个较为常见的习语（idiom）。有时，括号中的部分可以省略。
举个例子：
There's no point getting upset about it—let's just try to find a solution.
一味灰心沮丧是没有意义的，我们努力找找解决方案吧。
❸ 汉语是动词型语言，英语是名词型语言。在汉译英时，一个常用的技巧就是变汉语动词为名词。
比如这句话中的“奉劝”，在译文中处理成了名词“a word of advice”，同时由于是较为正式的语体，相较于动词“advise”，“a word of advice”也显得更为庄重。
病毒溯源问题十分复杂、众说纷纭，但国际社会的广泛共识是，这是一个非常严肃、科学的问题，必须要以事实和科学为依据，由科学家和医学专家去研究。
The origin of virus is a complex and controversial issue, but there is a broad consensus in the international community that it is a very serious scientific issue that must be studied by scientists and medical experts on the basis of facts and science.
❶ 避免头重脚轻
句子开头的“病毒溯源”，如果处理成finding the origin of the virus，容易使句子显得头重脚轻，而英语的习惯往往是“头轻脚重”（end weight）。这里直接将动词“溯源”译为名词“the origin of virus”，既没有影响表意，又轻巧省力得多。
❷ 改变句子结构
“十分复杂”、“众说纷纭”在原句的结构中是形容词作谓语，相当于：“这个问题十分复杂、众说纷纭”。
但在英语中，描述性词语常作为定语出现，句子结构会变成：“这个是个十分复杂、众说纷纭的问题”。
因此，为了照顾英语的表达习惯，这句话在翻译时，谓语变成了定语，翻译成了“a complex and controversial issue”。
（美国）不要再对中国甩锅推责。这个锅实在是太大了，他甩不出去的。
(The US) should stop scapegoating China, because the responsibility is so heavy and it's impossible to shift blame.
英语较忌讳重复，所以在汉译英时应尽量使用不同的表达。
“甩锅”的实际意思是推卸责任、让某人背黑锅、做替罪羊，因此译文分别用了“scapegoat”的动词形式和“shift blame”两个说法。
除此之外，甩锅还可以表达为“deflect blame to somebody”、“pin the blame on somebody”。

Trump administration has seized on an opportunity to deflect blame to the WHO.
特朗普政府抓住机会将责任转嫁给世卫组织。
The police pinned the murder on him because he was a convenient suspect, even though they had no real proof.
即便没有确凿证据，警察还是把这桩谋杀案安在了他的头上，因为这样省事。
