国家卫生健康委员会官方网站消息，5月8日0—24时，31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告新增确诊病例1例，为境外输入病例（在天津）；无新增死亡病例；新增疑似病例2例，均为境外输入病例（在上海）。
Chinese health authority said Saturday that no new domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases were reported on the Chinese mainland on Friday.
One imported case was reported in Tianjin.
Also on Friday, two new suspected cases, both imported ones in Shanghai, were reported.
No deaths related to the disease were reported, according to the commission.
当日新增治愈出院病例53例，解除医学观察的密切接触者670人，重症病例减少3例。
Altogether 53 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery Friday, while the number of severe cases decreased by three to 15.
境外输入现有确诊病例176例（含重症病例4例），现有疑似病例8例。累计确诊病例1681例，累计治愈出院病例1505例，无死亡病例。
By Friday, the mainland had reported a total of 1,681 imported cases. Of the cases, 1,505 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 176 remained hospitalized with four in severe conditions. No deaths from the imported cases had been reported.
截至5月8日24时，据31个省（自治区、直辖市）和新疆生产建设兵团报告，现有确诊病例208例（其中重症病例15例），累计治愈出院病例78046例，累计死亡病例4633例，累计报告确诊病例82887例，现有疑似病例8例。累计追踪到密切接触者736372人，尚在医学观察的密切接触者5859人。
As of Friday, the overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 82,887, including 208 patients who were still being treated, 78,046 people who had been discharged after recovery, and 4,633 people who died of the disease.
The commission said eight people, all from overseas, were still suspected of being infected with the virus.
According to the commission, 5,859 close contacts were still under medical observation after 670 people were discharged from medical observation Friday.

Also on Friday, 15 new asymptomatic cases, all domestic ones, were reported on the mainland. No cases were re-categorized as confirmed cases, and 33 such cases, including eight from overseas, were discharged from medical observation, according to the commission.
The commission said 836 asymptomatic cases, including 63 from overseas, were still under medical observation.
累计收到港澳台地区通报确诊病例1529例。其中，香港特别行政区1044例（出院960例，死亡4例），澳门特别行政区45例（出院40例），台湾地区440例（出院355例，死亡6例）。
By Friday, 1,044 confirmed cases including four deaths had been reported in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), 45 confirmed cases in the Macao SAR, and 440 in Taiwan including six deaths.
A total of 960 patients in Hong Kong, 40 in Macao, and 355 in Taiwan had been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
