9月5日，《中国日报》作为国家英文日报，充分发挥对外传播独特优势，以国际化视角，重磅推出朝阳区八联版“The Charm of Chaoyang”。围绕“文化、国际化、大尺度绿化”三个方向，多维度展示朝阳区在经济、开放、环保、民生、文化各领域所取得的成就。
八联版正面四个稿件分别介绍了朝阳区CBD、高精尖产业、文创产业和服务业开放的成绩，解析朝阳区“兴业”的魅力所在。
Dubbed “a diamond studded on the Third Ring Road”, Beijing’s central business district has evolved over a few decades from an industrial base rolling out refrigerators and motor vehicles into a business hub filled with futuristic buildings and corporate headquarters.
如果把三环路比作一枚戒指，北京中心商务区就是它上面的的钻石。经过几十年的发展，北京中心商务区已经从生产冰箱和汽车的工业基地发展成为现代建筑林立、企业总部聚集的商业中心。
Predominantly engaged in finance, commerce and the culture and media business, companies based in the CBD paid more than 40 billion yuan in taxes in the first four months of this year, according to its administrative committee.
中央商务区管委会称，今年前四个月，位于中央商务区的主要从事金融、商贸、文化和媒体业务的企业缴纳的税款超过400亿元人民币。
The district generated a revenue of 1.88 billion yuan from its scientific research and technical service industry in the first half of 2020, at a growth rate of 10 percent from the same period of 2019. The government credited the growth in revenue to the district’s achievements in fostering new business forms and improving its industrial ecosystem.
今年上半年，朝阳区的科研和技术服务业收入为18.8亿元人民币，同比增长10%。这归功于朝阳区在培育新商业形式和改进工业生态方面所做的努力。
Beijing’s publicity department recently announced a list of 100 recognized municipal-level cultural industrial parks. Thirty-two of them are located in Chaoyang district, which shows the district’s strong industrial and creative muscle. The district is home to more than 68,000 cultural businesses, including 76 listed companies, five high-growth unicorn startups and 253 corporate headquarters, 127 of them established by multinationals.
在北京市近期发布的市级园区名单中，朝阳区有32家文化产业园区入选，彰显了朝阳区在文创产业上的优势。朝阳区登记注册文化企业达到6.8万家，其中有境内外上市企业76家，文娱传媒类独角兽企业5家。这里还聚集了253家文化企业总部，其中外资文化企业总部127家。
To date, 126 multinational companies have established their regional headquarters in Chaoyang district, accounting for nearly 70 percent of the city’s total. Among them are scores of Fortune Global 500 companies, covering service sectors including technical support and wholesale and retail.

From January to June, Chaoyang district converted 140.4 hectares of land into forest, and improved the environment surrounding 100 streets and lanes. The district complete work on six parks, covering an area of 277.4 hectares, and expedited construction on another six such as Jinzhan Forest Park in the first half of 2020.

Chaoyang district in Beijing has made further progress in renovating existing facilities and building new ones with energy-efficient and eco-friendly designs for the 2022 Winter Olympics. For example, the National Aquatics Center, nicknamed the Water Cube has been transformed into the Ice Cube for the curling events in 2022.
