一个多小时后，犯罪嫌疑人被击毙，人质被安全解救。
Police shot and killed a man who allegedly did a kidnapping in Wuhua district in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, at around 5 pm on Friday. The hostage was rescued, local police said.
22日17时许，一名男子在昆明市五华区劫持一名人质，被警方当场击毙，人质被安全解救。
The man, surnamed Wang, 56, axed seven people outside the gate of a middle school before the kidnapping. One of the people attacked died of their injuries.
经查，涉案嫌疑人姓王（男，56岁），其劫持人质前，在云南师范大学附属实验中学门口持刀致伤7人，其中1人经抢救无效死亡。
多段视频显示，现场有一名疑似谈判专家与该嫌犯进行了对话。
一名女性上前给人质和嫌犯递饮料
经澎湃新闻核实，这位女性并不是谈判专家，而是一位刚刚拿到记者证的女记者。
Footage widely circulated on Chinese social media shows a female in a blue jacket approaching the hostage-taker and apparently talking to him before he was shot dead. The woman was not a hostage negotiator as many assumed, but is a reporter with Yunnan Media Group, the Paper reported.
澎湃新闻称，被劫持的学生呼喊口渴时，这名记者上前递过去一瓶可乐。
据云南广播电视台都市频道报道，当时距离嫌疑人3米的蓝衣女子是该单位都市条形码女记者，劫匪要求见记者，而且必须是女记者，只给10分钟时间，刚领到记者证的女记者就上去了。
The woman, who had just been certified with a press card, went up to the suspect upon the latter’s request to talk to a reporter - female only, according to Yunnan Media Group.
据云南记协消息，劫持过程中这名女记者起到了很大作用，她不停与劫匪说话，稳定了他的情绪，控制了场面，给后面的特警创造了机会。
The Yunnan Journalists Association said the woman played an important role in stabilizing the suspect and getting control of the situation by engaging him in a conversation, and buying time for a sniper, who shot him.
澎湃新闻从多个渠道获悉，因警方开枪时女记者正近距离拍照，需对其进行心理辅导。
