According to the 7th census,

China has a population of 1.41 billion,

in 490 million households.

Those under 14 account for

a higher percentage,

while the gender ratio of

newborns is re-balancing.

Yet we must stay alert

to the risks of an aging society.

The census found 34.9 million

more males than females,

which highlights the necessity

of promoting balance

between the two genders.

Babies boomed when the two-child policy

was introduced in 2016,

yet the number has fallen

in the succeeding years.

What if that trend continues?

In order to achieve a higher birth rate,

there is much to be done.

First, tax and fee cuts can help

raise the disposable

income of breadwinners.

Sound education can be further expanded,

while gender equality be promoted

to encourage more females to give birth.

Even with all such measures taken,

the aging of society might continue.

What we need is good preparation,

so that everybody can get

 his/her needed welfare.

China will continue flourishing,

and every family will benefit from that.
