近期，多名中国留学生在洛杉矶国际机场入境时，遭美国边检执法人员反复盘问来美学习目的、过往学业成绩、是否曾经就业、是否受过纪律处分、是否“剽窃”实验室数据等情况，有的还遭到威胁、恐吓，甚至被限制自由长达数十小时，最终被拒绝入境遣返回国。
Multiple Chinese students were repeatedly asked by US law enforcement officers about their purposes for studying in the US and previous academic performances.
Some were also interrogated over whether they had been employed, received disciplinary sanctions or stolen laboratory data.
Others were threatened, intimidated and even deprived of their personal freedom for hours before being refused entry and repatriated.
此外，还有部分中国留学生离境回国时遭美执法人员盘查，被没收个人电子设备。中国驻洛杉矶总领事馆已就此向美方提出严正交涉，敦促美方纠正错误，停止利用各种借口对中国留学生进行无端限制和打压。
US law enforcement officials also interrogated and examined those exiting the country, confiscating some of their electronic devices.

Three Chinese students with valid visas were questioned and deported by the US when entering the country on August 15 at Houston airport. They were suspected of having connections with the Chinese military after being found to have "military training photos" in their mobile phones.
9月下旬，一名已获得美国政府签发的合法签证的中国赴美留学生在入境休斯敦机场时遭到美方无理盘查滋扰，在一处狭小空间内被限制人身自由长达50多个小时，期间正常饮食和休息都无法保障，最终被美方以莫须有的理由经第三国遣返。
In late September, another Chinese student possessing a valid visa was interrogated at the border control of Houston Airport. US law enforcement officers repatriated the student through a third country after restricting the student's personal freedom for more than 50 hours without proper food and rest.
而早在7月26日举行的中美天津会谈中，中方已向美方提出两份清单：一份纠错清单，一份重点个案清单。
在纠错清单里，中方敦促美方无条件撤销对中共党员及家属的签证限制，取消对中国留学生的签证限制，停止滋扰中国留学生等等。
In the List of US Wrongdoings that Must Stop, China urged the United States to unconditionally revoke the visa restrictions over Communist Party of China (CPC) members and their families, remove visa restrictions on Chinese students and stop harassing Chinese students.
在中方关切的重点个案清单里，中方主要就中国部分留学生赴美签证遭拒，中国公民在美遭受不公正待遇，美国不法分子滋扰冲撞我驻美使领馆，美国国内仇亚反华情绪滋长等。
In another list, China expressed serious concerns to the United States on some key individual cases, including some Chinese students' visa applications being rejected, Chinese citizens receiving unfair treatment in the United States, Chinese diplomatic and consular missions being harassed and rammed into by perpetrators in the United States, growing anti-Asian and anti-China sentiment, and Chinese citizens suffering violent attacks.
