A teacher from Shangqiu, Central China's Henan province has wowed netizens with his neat and immaculate chalk handwriting after a video showing him writing characters in various calligraphy styles on a blackboard went viral. Each stroke is so perfectly executed that it has earned the teacher the nickname, "walking printer".
视频里的这位“打印机”老师名叫张世锋，大学是工艺美术专业，2003年毕业后成为一名美术教师。
今年40岁的张老师说，练字是他从小到大的兴趣爱好，“之前一直在纸上练习写字”。
Graduated from university as an arts and crafts major in 2003, Zhang Shifeng, now 40, is an art teacher. He took calligraphy as a hobby at a young age, and has been practicing calligraphy with chalk for decades.
自从登上三尺讲台后，他就开始练习粉笔字，到现在已经十几年了。
张老师说粉笔字相对纸上书写难度更大一点，“因为在黑板上写字，字形稍大，粉笔笔锋难以调整，对汉字的笔画、结构、章法布局更难把握，需要花费更多的时间精力练习。”
According to Zhang, writing with a chalk is trickier than using brush and paper, as "the character you write on a blackboard is usually in larger scale, so the stroke is harder to handle, the pattern and composition of each character is difficult to grasp, and therefore requires a great more practice," he explains.
After years of perfecting his technique, Zhang is now capable of chalkboard writing in a dozen styles, including Clerical, Small Seal, and Semi-cursive script.
张老师认为，用不同的字体书写板书，可以让学生们感受到不同的新鲜感。
同时也能进一步了解中国文字的演变过程，“希望通过课堂教学包括板书，给孩子一个正确写字的引导，让他们学习到更多书法知识。”
Zhang said he felt happy when his handwriting won him compliments from students and believed his efforts paid off by helping students understand different styles in the history of the Chinese character development. "It is my hope that the kids will learn how to write properly through my chalkboard writing," he said.
Thanks to Zhang, interest for calligraphy among students is fueled, with many imitating his writing, and to their credit, "they are doing fairly good," Zhang said.
还有学生开始练习书法，张老师表示首先还是要有兴趣，“可以从楷书开始练习，楷书的结构笔画都很严谨。”
For calligraphy enthusiasts, Zhang recommends starting off by practicing kaishu, or Regular script, as "the structure of kaishu preserves the essential characteristics of squareness and precision."
