6月4日10时30分许，贵阳北至广州南的D2809次旅客列车行驶在贵广线榕江站进站前的月寨隧道口时，撞上突发溜坍侵入线路的泥石流，导致7号、8号车发生脱线，造成1名司机死亡、1名列车员与7名旅客受伤。
A train driver died and eight others were injured after a bullet train derailed at around 10:30 am on Saturday in Rongjiang county, Southwest China's Guizhou province. Two carriages of the train D2809 from Guiyang to Guangzhou came off the tracks that were hit by mud and rockslide as the train was about to arrive at the Rongjiang station.
事发后，1名列车员、7名旅客被迅速送至榕江县医院进行全力救治，已得到妥善治疗，没有生命危险；列车上其他136名旅客已安排大巴到从江站转运。
The injured people include one train attendant and seven passengers. They have been receiving treatment at local hospital. A total of 136 other passengers have been evacuated.
值乘司机遇难，曾在5秒内紧急制动列车
据中国铁路微信公众号4日消息，D2809次列车值乘司机不幸殉职。经车载数据分析，值乘司机在列车行驶至榕江站进站前的月寨隧道内时发现线路异常，在5秒钟内采取了紧急制动措施，列车滑行900多米。
The driver spotted an abnormal situation at the track and then performed an emergency braking within five seconds, China Railway said.
高速铁路的防撞墙和轨道结构的整体防护作用避免了列车颠覆坠落。
受事故影响，贵阳北站开往广州的动车全部停运，广州至贵阳方向的动车全部停靠晚点。
