北京时间2022年9月17日17时47分，经过约5小时的出舱活动，神舟十四号航天员陈冬、刘洋、蔡旭哲密切协同，完成出舱活动期间全部既定任务，航天员陈冬、航天员蔡旭哲已安全返回问天实验舱，出舱活动取得圆满成功。
China's Shenzhou-14 taikonauts conducted their second extravehicular activities (EVAs) on Saturday, with astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe successfully finishing their tasks at 5:47 pm after five hours of close cooperation. Cai and Chen have already returned to the space station lab module Wentian, while Liu has been inside Wentian assisting the EVAs by the two taikonauts, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).
本次出舱活动有两个“首次”，分别是首次安装问天气闸舱舱外助力手柄，以及首次进行舱外救援验证。
The two astronauts installed a foot limiter and the extravehicular workbench.
Assisted by a small robotic arm, they cooperated on tasks including installing the extravehicular handle and conducting outside-cabin rescue verification, both of which were being carried out for the first time for China's manned space missions.
舱外助力手柄是一个应急使用装置，也是保障航天员舱外安全的一道防线。
中国航天员中心航天员系统副总设计师王春慧称，前几次任务中航天员都是在舱内开出舱门的，这个助力把手是航天员这次带出舱，装在环形扶手旁边的一个工具箱上。
"During previous missions, astronauts opened the cabin from the inside, while this time, the astronauts take the tools out of the cabin and install it on a toolbox beside an annular handrail," Wang Chunhui, deputy chief designer of the taikonaut system, told CCTV.
这个把手的主要作用，就是在应对异常情况或者一些其他紧急的情况，当无法从舱内开舱门，需要航天员从舱外开舱门的时候，用把手来把舱门打开。
She said the handle is mainly used for dealing with abnormal or emergency situations, as when they are outside and cannot open the cabin from the inside, they could use it to open the cabin.
航天员在舱外作业时，处于高风险的极端环境，针对可能遭遇的意外情况，这次的出舱活动还要进行首次舱外救援验证，验证舱壁上的两名航天员通过攀爬的方式，一名航天员将另一名模拟“失去行动能力”的航天员带回舱内的过程。
As for the extravehicular rescue verification, the taikonauts imitated the procedure of one astronaut climbing to bring back the other astronaut who has been rendered "incapable."
During the period, astronaut Liu stayed inside the core module in a supporting role.
Chen and Liu completed their first EVAs and returned to the space station lab module Wentian, the CMSA said on September 2.
王春慧称，既要防止自己飘走，更要防止失能的航天员飘走，所以主动施救的航天员他很辛苦，他要一边拉着航天员一边倒腾安全绳回到舱内，两个人的连接方式怎样是最合适的？在移动过程中主动的这个人该怎么拖拉，使被救的航天员不至于磕碰到舱壁？进到舱壁以后，移动过程中如何倒腾这些扶手是最高效的、最可行的？这都需要我们真正在舱外的环境下进行验证。
