9月12日,一份员工入职体检报告在网上热传,该报告中的体检建议一栏写着“智商偏低,用人单位酌情考虑”,落款盖有连云港徐圩新区人民医院体检中心公章,该报告引发热议。
A doctor in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, is currently under investigation by the local health commission for composing an inappropriate suggestion within a health report, reported Jimu News, a news portal based in Hubei province, on Wednesday.
The report in question originates from Lianyungang Xuwei New Area People's Hospital. It declared that the examinee possessed a "relatively low" IQ and cautioned prospective employers to exercise prudence when evaluating them for employment. Additionally, the report noted the examinee's sluggish facial expression and delayed responsiveness.
However, it is worth noting that the report's ultimate conclusion, issued by a doctor with the surname Wang on Monday, was positive and affirmed the examinee's overall health.
It was also revealed that the doctor responsible for the assessment is currently under investigation. The hospital said it would make an official announcement about the incident when the investigation is concluded.
Liu Qiusu, vice director of the Labor and Social Security Legal Professional Committee of the Nanjing Lawyers Association, criticized the doctor's action as incorrect. He emphasized that pre-employment medical exams should adhere to national civil servant recruitment standards, which do not consider low IQ as a disqualification factor.
Liu also stressed that doctors should assess medical conditions, not suitability for employment, and should use specialized IQ assessment reports rather than traits like sluggishness and delayed reactions to determine IQ issues.
