Recently, the popular musical duo Phoenix Legend has been making frequent appearances at music festivals, igniting enthusiastic sing-alongs in the crowd.
For numerous young individuals, Phoenix Legend’s songs have served as a gateway to embracing the "square dance phenomenon."
Some netizens have humorously commented, "There are certain social circles where fitting in doesn't require effort; when the time is right, acceptance comes naturally, as with square dancing."
Gradually, square dancing has moved beyond the exclusive domain of the older generation and has become a therapeutic pastime for some young people. Numerous young enthusiasts are joining the ranks of the "square dance brigade," injecting new energy into this traditional leisure and fitness pursuit.
The younger generation is increasingly prioritizing their physical well-being. Square dancing is not only cost-free but also conveniently accessible in their own neighborhoods, allowing them to participate at their own convenience, making it their beloved pastime.
Furthermore, square dancing offers young people a way to find both physical and mental solace. As reported by The Paper, the field of psychology acknowledges a form of therapy known as "dance therapy," which suggests that bodily flexibility can foster mental flexibility. Young people relish the relaxation and emotional rejuvenation they experience as they sway to the beat of the music.
