The average per capita coffee consumption in China is 12 cups, compared to 200 cups in Japan and 380 cups in the United States.
Behind these numbers, we can see that China has significant room for growth in the coffee industry. From the perspective of consumption, we have great confidence in the Chinese market.
No one can displace China, in our opinion, when it comes to manufacturing, infrastructure, the knowledge of the people and the labor force. The (Chinese) government did an amazing job in investing in infrastructure a long time ago and now it can reap the benefits from that.
By the end of 2023, 165 Fortune 500 companies and their subsidiaries have invested in Liaoning province. They established 238 joint ventures.
But I think where there could be more improvement, in my opinion, is educating more people about the Chinese markets, about the Chinese culture and the infrastructure of what China can offer.
