Liu Jingyang of Guangdong province won the women's 100m hurdles final during China's 15th National Games on Wednesday, clocking 12.81 seconds. Wu Yanni secured the silver with a time of 12.85 seconds.
刘景扬赛后接受采访时激动表示，这一刻像做梦一样，“我练田径已经20年了，三次参加全运会，前两次都没进决赛，这次妈妈从珠海来看我比赛，我知道她想（我夺冠）这一刻也想了很久。”
After the race, an emotional Liu described her gold-medal victory as a "dream come true". "I've been in track and field for 20 years and competed in three National Games. I didn't even reach the finals in the previous two," she said. "My mother came all the way from Zhuhai to watch me today. I know she has been waiting for this moment for a very long time."
During the medal ceremony, Wu was visibly disappointed and seen in tears, receiving consolation from her coach.
In her post-race interview, Wu gave herself a score of zero for her performance. "There's nothing much to say. I didn't run well, and that's just how it is," she admitted. "There are definitely regrets. My technique and details during the race weren't handled well. I'll just focus on preparing well for next year's Asian Games."
Reflecting on her journey, Wu added, "The past four years preparing for the National Games have been incredibly tough. I went through a lot, so it's truly a pity not to win the gold."
据南方都市报此前报道，接受专访时，吴艳妮曾说过，十五运会的100米栏金牌她志在必得。而她自己除了争金外，还有更高的追求，那就是争取打破她在去年创造的12秒74的全国纪录。在当天上午进行的预赛中，吴艳妮跑出了12秒98的成绩，在所有选手中排名第一。
According to a previous interview by Southern Metropolis Daily, Wu had expressed strong confidence in winning the 100m hurdles gold at the 15th National Games. Beyond the gold, she had aimed to break her own national record of 12.74 seconds, set last year. Earlier in the day, during the preliminaries, Wu had topped the standings with a time of 12.98 seconds.
