Recently, Skoda released the official image of the Skoda 1000 MBX concept car. The design inspiration for the new car comes from the 1000MBX two door coupe launched in 1966, which was only produced in 2517 units at that time. It is reported that Skoda's new cars in the future will adopt some design elements from concept cars.
From the official image, the new car inherits the classic body design of historical models. The new car adopts a split side sliding door design, with only a half leaf design for the rear door, and is equipped with hidden door handles. The interior of the car has a 2+2 seating layout.
From the perspective of design details, the new car does not adopt a retro design, and the overall shape is still very avant-garde, only the contour is relatively retro. In addition, the new car's daytime running lights are very unique, adopting an integrated design, and the rear window has been removed from the car. The taillights are consistent with the front of the car, and the visual effect is very good.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts a very sci-fi design, with transparent instrument and center console screens, and a unique and distinctive steering wheel shape. The integrated seats expand the lateral space, and even the rear seats can accommodate bicycles. In terms of power, the new car will adopt pure electric drive and be equipped with air suspension.
