The new car is positioned as a "tactical square box" and is aimed at senior off-road users who are interested in the military. As a reference, the current Beijing BJ80 has three models with prices ranging from 298000 to 398000 yuan, and the BJ81 should be even more expensive at that time.
Visually, the new car adopts the concept of "Build in Public", and during the development phase, the project positioning and user interaction are publicly disclosed to collect suggestions. It can be seen that the new car is based on the BJ80, but incorporates hardcore military style elements in the details, with metal bumpers, electric winches, roof spotlights, and a vehicle mounted drone platform, with a water wading depth of up to 1.3 meters.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with two engines, 2.3T and 3.0T. The 2.3T engine has a maximum power of 231 horsepower and a maximum torque of 345 Nm, matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission; The 3.0T engine has a maximum power of 280 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420 Nm, matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
