校园英语角|Public Speaking Skills Sharing Session

Last week at the campus English corner, we invited Zhou Ling, a senior student, to share her speech skills with us.During this session, we not only learned how to improve our public speaking abilities but also got the chance to practice our oral English.

上周校园英语角我们邀请到了周玲为我们做演讲技巧的分享。在这个过程中，我们不仅学习到了该怎么样提升自己的演讲能力，同时练习了我们的英语口语。

11月13日晚，本周的校园英语角活动在学校“一站式”学生社区道德讲堂GJ6201开展，由贵州师范大学博学书院外国语学院研究生会周玲进行现场指导和活动主持。据悉，周玲斩获2025“外研社·国才杯”“理解当代中国”全国大学生外语能力大赛贵州赛区演讲决赛金奖。

Zhou Ling broke down the entire competition process, allowing us to understand the evaluation criteria and time requirements of the FLTRP · ETIC Speech Contest. She also emphasized that impromptu speech is a key focus of the competition.

周玲将比赛全流程拆解，让我们了解了外研社·国才杯英语演讲大赛的评分标准以及时间要求，其重点强调了即兴演讲。🎤

She shared her experience from the FLTRP Speech Competition with everyone, covering three stages: pre-competition preparation, mid-term refinement, and the final sprint phase.

周玲分别从前期备赛、中间打磨、最后冲刺三个阶段，将其外研社演讲比赛经验分享给大家。

She then focused on explaining practical techniques for using stress and pauses, intonation along with emotional expression, and linking as well as weak forms. To help students understand better, she used examples from TED Talks and famous speeches. At the same time, she demonstrated the intonation rules for basic sentence patterns like declarative sentences and interrogative sentences on the spot, and guided students to do simple follow-along practice.

之后她重点讲解了重音与停顿、语调与情感表达、连读与弱读的实操技巧，还结合TED演讲和名人演讲案例帮助同学们更好理解。同时她现场示范了陈述句、疑问句等基础句型的语调规则，并引导大家进行简单的跟读练习。

Students raised questions to Zhou Ling covering public speaking skills, competition preparation plans, psychological adjustment, and other related topics.She addressed each inquiry one by one, sharing personalized advice rooted in her own competition experience to further enrich the depth of the sharing session.

同学们纷纷提问研讨，问题涵盖演讲技巧、备赛规划、心理调适等相关话题。周玲逐一回应了每个疑问，结合自身参赛经历给出了个性化建议，进一步丰富了分享会的深度与实用性。

At this campus English corner, Zhou Ling brought her valuable FLTRP Speech Competition experience to the table—her insights were so engaging that they left a lasting impression on every student, while also deepening everyone’s understanding of how to master English pronunciation and intonation.

本次校园英语角，周玲分享了她在外研社演讲比赛中的宝贵经验——她的见解生动实用，给每位同学都留下了深刻印象，同时也让大家对如何掌握英语语音语调有了更深刻的认知。
