Informational interview真的有用!一次成功的meeting不仅能够使你了解最宝贵的行业信息, 还很可能给你带来一份梦寐以求的工作。所以,写一封棒棒的informational interview request email 是非常重要的。

I’d love the opportunity to spend 20 mins with you to discuss your decision making process with regards to [professionals] and what your expectations are when working with them. Would it be possible to drop by your office or chat by phone sometime next week?

发出邮件只是第一步,如果没有得到回应,也是很正常的事情,也许对方并没有时间或者认为自己没办法给你很好的建议,不要气馁。
如果有人大方回应,在见面前一定要做好功课,想好自己想问的问题,不要浪费彼此的时间。见面之后,别忘了给对方写一封thank you letter表达谢意,毕竟这种informational interview完全是义务帮忙。
