Pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship/co-op

A Data Scientist intern on this team must be comfortable working with large volumes of data and be able to manipulate data using a variety of tools.
The ideal candidate possesses a good knowledge and set of hard skills across both predictive (machine learning) and prescriptive (optimization) analytics.
Our customers are as different as the problems they would like to see solved, and the Data Scientist must be able to deal with ambiguity and shifting goals. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Currently pursuing aMaster’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience
1+ years of relevant academic research or industry experience in predictive modeling, data science and analysis
Track record of applying the scientific method to solve problems by forming hypotheses and testing them through well-documented and reproducible experiments
Proficiency in Python, with the ability to write clear, concise, explainable, testable, production-ready code
Demonstrated expertise in more than one data science discipline (statistics/econometrics, time series forecasting, field experiments, machine learning, deep learning, Bayesian methods, stochastic modeling, operations research)
Strong knowledge of SQL and of relational database systems and concepts
Strong written and verbal communication skills
