由清华大学GIX学院举办，启迪之星特别支持的2018GIX创新大赛决赛即将于2018年8月26日在清华科技园阳光厅举行。届时，来自全球的20支队伍将向评委和公众展示他们的创新项目，选手来自美国、韩国、印度尼西亚、中国等多个国家。
进入决赛的20个项目涉及医疗健康、公共安全、金融科技、人工智能、穿戴设备和先进制造、传统行业革新以及VR虚拟现实等多个未来产业和领域。其中不少项目都是面向实际问题的解决方案，比如AegisAI试图解决枪支安全问题，EZ Check关于女性健康问题等。
参加决赛的评委来自华盛顿大学、清华大学和友信金服、启迪之星、美团点评等公司。评委们将根据项目及产品创新性和应用价值、项目展示和项目完成度打分，最终决出一、二、三等奖，分享100万人民币奖金。
大赛组委会代表、清华全球创新学院副院长许斌表示，“这次大赛参赛者有两个特点：一是国际化，范围广泛，有来自全球多个国家的团队参赛，有些团队成员组成涵盖几个国家；二是年龄跨度大，决赛队伍中有一支中学生团队充满活力，非常值得期待！”
由三人组成的Miirabella团队成员杨煜对于决赛的到来表示很兴奋。他们团队成员来自中国和美国。
谈到为何参加此次GIX创新大赛，杨煜说：“创新无国界，用技术改变生活一直以来是我的梦想，因此创造那些人们能够使用的，同时又具有一定商业价值的产品原型一直是我的一项爱好。”
他继续说道，当今人们仅仅能够通过网络视频、博客来学习化妆，这些方式都不能提供实时的学习反馈。Mirrabella是一个智能化妆镜，在用户在化妆过程中，智能化妆镜提供给用户实时的反馈，帮助用户学习和提升自己的化妆水平。该项目应用了包括3D脸部识别技术、机器学习、电脑视觉和AR在内的多个技术。
本届GIX创新大赛延续往年“智慧互联”主题，向来自全球年轻创新者征集具有科技前瞻性、面向实际需求的创新项目，涉及物联网、智能硬件、虚拟现实、增强现实、普适计算、智能感知、自然交互等多个领域技术创新。此外，本届大赛还单独设立Fintech赛道征集相关创新项目。
本次大赛自2018年3月28日在西雅图启动以来，一共吸引了400多个队伍报名。经过预选的100多支队伍进入了半决赛。从7月11至7月14日，北京、西安、深圳和美国西雅图四个赛区分别进行了半决赛比赛，最终20支队伍进入了决赛。

AegisAI employs computer vision to automatically detects guns in existingsecurity camera feeds then notifies the police and provides early warning tobuilding occupants. 7 HoloScreen

10 Mira Therapeutics
Mira Therapeutics offers digital therapeutics for Post-TraumaticStress Disorder (PTSD) treatment. Mira is a virtual patient assistant that provides interactive crisis grounding, guided symptom journaling, and traumafocused teletherapy. Mira includes a clinician dashboard that improves therapy sessions by identifying important discussion topics, potential crisis triggers, and hidden symptom trends.
11 MRing
MRing is a new type of smart ring. The innovative wearing method enables the modular design and much easier wearing experience. The separation of communication module, function module and battery enables MRing to fully utilize the limited space around fingers. Users can switch thefunction module based on their needs to make MRing a touch panel, a fitness monitor, an bone conduction earphone, etc.
12 Nature Coin
Nature Coin utilizes blockchain and IoT technologiesto reward users for their sustainable actions. It makes recycling profitable bybuilding a global economy connecting individuals with environmental cause. In order to encourage recycling, users will be rewarded with our cryptocurrency, NatureCoin, when they recycle plastics in our smart bins and then exchange forgood and services in communities. Our vision is to deploy smart bins via large scale plastic recycling network incities and our NatureCoin app will act as a digital wallet for transactions on blockchain, bind all hardware in the system, provide data analysis to monitor performance. Blockchain ensures secured and direct transaction betweenusers without geographical boundaries, which allows our project to scale on a global level. NatureCoin is also designed for people who do not own a bank account in least developed countries (LDC) and to help bridge the wealth gap as they canmake a living on recycling.
13 New Hab
In China, physical therapy is a trailing domain where its servicehas not yet met the needs of millions due to the limited number ofprofessionals, a lack of public awareness and the rigid constraints caused by the Chinese rehabilitation system. Consequently, many patients experience unsatisfactory rehabilitation, often resulting in mobility restriction. New Hab aims to solve this problem with its robust and patient-friendly wearabledevices by optimizing the distribution of professional resources for post-surgical orthopaedics physical therapy. Hew Hab boosts the efficiency of in-clinic physical therapists and enables rehabilitation telemedicine via a web portal accessible by both patients and therapists. In addition, the capture of objective data supports the creation of a patient-oriented data-driven New Hab community that would ultimately raise public awareness of physical therapy.
14 Portable Near-Infrared Spectrometer
The intelligent terminals are very import for the development of Internet of things (IoT) and big data analysis. Spectra analysis, which canpredict material constituent nondestructively and quickly, is an indispensable technology of IoT. In this project, therefore, one kind of intelligent spectrometer is developed, which can collect the reflected spectra of object things in the near-infrared range. By analysis the reflected spectra, the constituent of targeted matters, e.g., food, textile and drugs can be predicted nondestructively and quickly. Since the collected spectra data is stored in thecloud server, the big data analysis can be done after collecting enough datawith this terminal.
15 Psionic Science and Technology
We have introduced the Ai sport intelligent fitness appraisal deviceto guide the user to some specifics through advanced optical dynamic capture algorithms and real-time motion analysis algorithms based on the cnn network.The action is based on the user's dynamic data combined with the Chinese professional fitness assessment program to generate a user-specific fitnessassessment report, which in addition to basic indicators such as body weight body fatness, will be as much as 20+ users. We are a team of four Biotechnologists who are in the process of developing a Pregnancy detector. The pregnancy detector is designed so that the device can be used by anyone and the results are either positive or negativeand is not open to interpretation of the user. We are a start-up built on theprinciples of social inclusion and our device is such that it can be accessed by all women including ones across several disabilities.
