With the purpose of thoroughly implementing the new curriculum standards, the Primary Section of Haiqing Foreign Language Experimental School is committed to igniting students' mathematical potential, promoting mathematical culture, shaping mathematical literacy, enriching in-class and after-class learning experiences, and promoting all-round development. In late October 2025, in this season of intertwined wisdom and passion, the 8th "Haishu Cup" of our school grandly opened. The mathematics teachers of the Primary Section led the children to explore freely, discover bravely, innovate and create in the digital world full of infinite possibilities!
本次活动精心划分为两大精彩活动项目,小学部一至六年级全体学生分别热情投身于“计算小达人”和“设计之星”两大活动之中。
This activity is carefully divided into two wonderful projects. All students from Grade 1 to Grade 6 in the Primary Section enthusiastically participated in the two activities: "Calculation Prodigy" and "Design Star".
“计算小达人”大赛正式开赛啦!这绝非普通赛事,而是数学界的“速度与激情”!同学们将在精心设计的数学题目中,大展身手,展现快速精准的计算实力。这些题目不仅挑战孩子们的数学基础,还巧妙融入了趣味元素,让孩子们在欢笑中学习,在成长中收获硕果。
The "Calculation Prodigy" competition officially started! This is by no means an ordinary event, but a "Speed and Passion" in the mathematical world! Students will show their skills and demonstrate fast and accurate calculation ability in the carefully designed mathematical problems. These questions not only challenge the children's mathematical foundation, but also skillfully integrate interesting elements, allowing the children to learn in laughter and gain fruitful results in growth.
每一道题目,都是对参赛选手智慧的挑战,也是速度的比拼。你看,有的选手眉头紧锁,仿佛正与题目激烈交锋;而有的选手则嘴角含笑,心中暗忖:“哈哈,这题对我来说只是小菜一碟!”无论比赛结果如何,每位参赛者都展现了他们的实力与决心。
Every question is a challenge to the wisdom of the contestants and a competition of speed. Look, some contestants frown, as if they are fiercely confronting the questions; while others smile, thinking to themselves: "Haha, this question is just a piece of cake for me!" Regardless of the competition results, each contestant has shown their strength and determination.
比赛现场气氛热烈,计时器的滴答声与笔尖的沙沙声交织成一首动感的数学乐章。选手们紧盯题目,手指飞快地在纸上舞动,仿佛化身数字世界的探险家,在加减乘除的海洋中乘风破浪。每一次正确解答,都引来观众席的低呼与掌声,空气中弥漫着紧张又兴奋的气息。老师们穿梭其间,轻声鼓励:“加油,孩子们!你们是最棒的!”低年级的小选手们虽面露稚气,却毫不示弱,一题题攻破;高年级的则沉稳老练,心算如飞,将复杂的算式化为简洁的答案。比赛不仅考验计算速度,更激发了他们面对挑战的勇气和团队协作的精神——当同桌遇到难题时,一个鼓励的眼神就能传递力量。赛后,孩子们兴奋地分享心得:“原来数学这么酷!”欢声笑语中,这场“速度与激情”的盛宴完美落幕,每个人脸上都洋溢着成长的喜悦与自信的光芒。
The atmosphere at the competition site was enthusiastic. The ticking of the timer and the rustling of pen tips intertwined into a dynamic mathematical movement. The contestants stared at the questions intently, their fingers dancing quickly on the paper, as if they were explorers in the digital world, riding the wind and waves in the ocean of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Every correct answer aroused gasps and applause from the audience, and the air was filled with an atmosphere of tension and excitement. Teachers shuttled among them, encouraging softly: "Come on, children! You are the best!" Although the young contestants in the lower grades looked childish, they did not show weakness and solved the questions one by one; the senior grades were calm and experienced, with mental arithmetic as fast as flying, turning complex formulas into concise answers. The competition not only tests the calculation speed, but also stimulates their courage to face challenges and the spirit of teamwork —— when a deskmate encounters a problem, an encouraging look can convey strength. After the game, the children excitedly shared their experiences: "Mathematics is so cool!" Amidst the laughter, this feast of "speed and passion" came to a perfect end, and everyone's face was filled with the joy of growth and the light of confidence.










著名数学家华罗庚教授曾说:"无论是浩瀚宇宙的广袤,微小粒子的精微,火箭的迅疾,化工的精巧,地球的变迁,生物的奥秘,还是日常生活的繁复——数学无处不在。"数学不仅源于生活,更在其中发挥着关键作用。当学生们掌握数学知识后,便能将其与实际生活相融合,创造出独具匠心的艺术品:他们用"数学讲好中国故事"致敬祖国,化身家庭小帮手为父母分忧解难,更以"随数学去旅行"为主题制作出令人惊叹的立体书。这不仅是数学知识的探索,更是艺术创作的实践与心灵深处的旅程。
The famous mathematician Professor Hua Luogeng once said: "Whether it is the vastness of the vast universe, the subtlety of tiny particles, the speed of rockets, the sophistication of chemical engineering, the changes of the earth, the mysteries of biology, or the complexity of daily life —— mathematics is everywhere." Mathematics not only originates from life, but also plays a key role in it. When students master mathematical knowledge, they can integrate it with real life and create unique works of art: they pay tribute to the motherland by "telling Chinese stories well with mathematics", become family helpers to share worries for their parents, and even make amazing pop-up books with the theme of "Travel with Mathematics". This is not only an exploration of mathematical knowledge, but also a practice of artistic creation and a journey deep in the soul.
看!设计之星们闪亮登场。在他们的世界里,数学绝非简单的图形与数字拼接,而是充满无限创意与乐趣的魔法。他们以独特视角将几何图形幻化成别具一格的画作,运用数学原理创造出兼具实用性与创新性的学习工具。每件精心雕琢的作品,既彰显卓越的设计天赋,更闪耀着独特的数学思维。本项目旨在培养学生创新思维与实践能力,使其在动手操作中切身感受数学的应用价值。
Look! The Design Stars are shining on the stage. In their world, mathematics is by no means a simple combination of graphics and numbers, but magic full of infinite creativity and fun. They transform geometric figures into unique paintings from a unique perspective, and use mathematical principles to create learning tools that are both practical and innovative. Each meticulously crafted work not only shows excellent design talent, but also shines with unique mathematical thinking. This project aims to cultivate students' innovative thinking and practical ability, allowing them to personally feel the application value of mathematics in hands-on operations.
Grade 6: Mathematical Comics
以生活为背景,用画笔讲述分数乘除法的精彩故事。创作一幅数学漫画,在妙趣横生中展现你发现问题、解决问题的数学智慧。
With life as the background, use brushes to tell wonderful stories of fraction multiplication and division. Create a mathematical comic to show your mathematical wisdom in discovering and solving problems in a fascinating way.
在创作过程中,学生们深入生活细节,捕捉如分享披萨时的公平分配(分数除法)或商场打折时的优惠计算(分数乘法),将数学原理融入生动情节。通过画笔勾勒角色互动与问题解决步骤,漫画不仅传递知识,更激发观众思考如何运用分数智慧化解现实挑战,彰显数学在艺术中的灵动魅力。
In the creative process, students delve into the details of life, capture scenes such as fair distribution when sharing pizza (fraction division) or discount calculation in shopping malls (fraction multiplication), and integrate mathematical principles into vivid plots. By outlining character interactions and problem-solving steps with brushes, the comics not only convey knowledge, but also inspire the audience to think about how to use fraction wisdom to resolve real challenges, showing the vivid charm of mathematics in art.
Grade 5: Interesting Number Pairs
当数学遇见艺术,用“数对”作为你的创意密码。在方格纸上精准定位,绘制独一无二的图案,解锁隐藏在坐标里的绚丽世界。从横轴与纵轴的交点出发,每一个数对都像是一把钥匙,带你打开空间思维的大门。想象自己是一名小小探险家,手握坐标地图,在方格间寻找宝藏——也许是颗闪闪发光的星星,也许是朵绽放的花朵,甚至是你的名字缩写!



When mathematics meets art, use "number pairs" as your creative password. Accurately locate on the grid paper, draw unique patterns, and unlock the gorgeous world hidden in the coordinates. Starting from the intersection of the horizontal axis and the vertical axis, each number pair is like a key, leading you to open the door of spatial thinking. Imagine yourself as a little explorer, holding a coordinate map, looking for treasures between the grids —— maybe a shining star, maybe a blooming flower, or even the abbreviation of your name!



通过观察、描点和连线,你会发现数学并不只是枯燥的数字,而是充满创造力的游戏。你可以设计对称的蝴蝶翅膀,构造精巧的几何图形,或者重现一幅简笔画风景。在这个过程中,孩子们不仅锻炼了逻辑思维能力,还悄悄爱上了数学与艺术交融的奇妙体验。
Through observation, dotting and connecting lines, you will find that mathematics is not just boring numbers, but a game full of creativity. You can design symmetrical butterfly wings, construct exquisite geometric figures, or reproduce a stick figure landscape. In this process, children not only exercise their logical thinking ability, but also quietly fall in love with the wonderful experience of the integration of mathematics and art.
Grade 4: Digit Order Table
同学们将通过亲手绘制数位顺序表,在方寸纸页间搭建起数字的宏大架构。从个位到亿位,每一格都是数与位的精密组合,每一步都是对数学逻辑的深入探索。在实践中,学生将逐渐领悟“数位”决定数值位置、“计数单位”体现进制关系、“数级”划分数量段落的深刻含义,理解三者之间环环相扣、层层推进的逻辑奥秘。




Students will build a grand structure of numbers on the small paper by drawing the digit order table with their own hands. From the units place to the 100 million place, each grid is a precise combination of numbers and positions, and each step is an in-depth exploration of mathematical logic. In practice, students will gradually understand the profound meaning that "digit position" determines the position of the number value, "counting unit" reflects the base relationship, and "number level" divides the quantity into sections, and comprehend the interlocking and progressive logical mysteries among the three.






这一过程不仅锻炼动手能力,更培养抽象思维,帮助孩子建立起完整的数感体系,为后续更大数的认识、四则运算等知识奠定坚实而直观的基础。
This process not only exercises hands-on ability, but also cultivates abstract thinking, helps children establish a complete number sense system, and lays a solid and intuitive foundation for the subsequent understanding of larger numbers, four arithmetic operations and other knowledge.
Grade 3: Development Drawings of Cuboids and Cubes
同学们通过亲手操作拆解立体模型,将抽象的几何概念转化为生动的实践体验。在教师引导下,大家从观察立体图形的面、棱、顶点特征入手,逐步尝试将其展开成不同的平面图形,并对比每一种展开方式与原立体之间的关系,逐步揭示立体图形与平面展开图的内在联系。这一活动不仅锻炼学生的观察、比较与推理能力,更专门设计来锤炼空间思维能力,鼓励他们从多角度想象图形变换的多种可能性,并在小组协作中分享发现、验证猜想。通过动手实践,学生得以突破“立体–平面”转换过程中的认知壁垒,逐步构建初步的空间几何观念,为后续学习更复杂的几何知识奠定坚实基础。
Students disassemble three-dimensional models through hands-on operations, transforming abstract geometric concepts into vivid practical experiences. Under the guidance of teachers, everyone starts by observing the characteristics of the faces, edges and vertices of three-dimensional figures, gradually tries to expand them into different plane figures, compares the relationship between each expansion method and the original three-dimensional figure, and gradually reveals the internal connection between three-dimensional figures and plane development drawings. This activity not only exercises students' observation, comparison and reasoning abilities, but also is specially designed to temper their spatial thinking abilities, encouraging them to imagine various possibilities of graphic transformation from multiple perspectives, and share discoveries and verify conjectures in group collaboration. Through hands-on practice, students can break through the cognitive barriers in the "three-dimensional-plane" conversion process, gradually build initial spatial geometric concepts, and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent study of more complex geometric knowledge.
Grade 2: Multiplication Table of Nine Nine
将原本抽象的乘法口诀,通过精巧的设计与互动体验,转化为既好玩又直观的奇妙玩具。这些玩具不仅能够激发孩子们的学习兴趣,还能让他们在动手操作中自然而然地理解乘法的意义与规律。无论是色彩缤纷的转盘、拼图式的卡片组合,还是可触摸的立体模型,每一种形式都致力于将枯燥的数字运算变为充满乐趣的探索过程。孩子们在游戏中建立数学直觉,在重复与尝试中巩固记忆,真正实现“玩中学、学中玩”的教育理念。




The originally abstract multiplication rhymes are transformed into interesting and intuitive wonderful toys through exquisite design and interactive experiences. These toys can not only stimulate children's learning interest, but also allow them to naturally understand the meaning and rules of multiplication in hands-on operations. Whether it is a colorful turntable, a puzzle-style card combination, or a touchable three-dimensional model, each form is committed to turning boring digital operations into a fun exploration process. Children establish mathematical intuition in games, consolidate memory through repetition and attempts, and truly realize the educational concept of "learning through play and playing through learning".
Grade 1: Decomposition and Addition/Subtraction of Numbers Within 10
学生与家长共同制作精美的“分与合”主题小书签,可以用彩纸剪出数字的形状,背后写上对应的加减算式;或者动手做一个“10以内加减法”趣味转盘,用卡纸、纽扣和双脚钉组合而成,轻轻一转,算式与答案就在动态中相遇。也可以尝试制作一串小风铃,每片铃片上标注不同的数字或符号,挂在窗边,风中摇曳时仿佛知识也在轻轻碰撞。让抽象的数学概念在指尖变得可触可感,在游戏中巩固计算能力,既培养孩子的动手创造力和观察能力,也让学习成为一种看得见、摸得着、听得到的愉悦体验。







Students and parents jointly make exquisite small bookmarks with the theme of "composition and decomposition". They can cut out the shapes of numbers with colored paper and write the corresponding addition and subtraction formulas on the back; or make a fun turntable for "addition and subtraction within 10" with cardboard, buttons and double-sided nails. With a light turn, the formulas and answers meet dynamically. You can also try to make a string of small wind chimes, with different numbers or symbols marked on each bell piece. Hang it by the window, and when it sways in the wind, it seems that knowledge is also gently colliding. Let abstract mathematical concepts become tangible at the fingertips, consolidate computing ability in games, not only cultivate children's hands-on creativity and observation ability, but also make learning a visible, tangible and audible pleasant experience.
